Description
Contraste Tinto 2022 is a Douro wine made by Conceito Vinhos under the supervision of winemaker Rita Marques. It's known as a balanced wine that combines serious structure with approachable freshness, ideal for drinking now or keeping.
Clear and bright, it has a deep ruby colour with subtle violet glints, showing its youth.
Aromatically, it's intense and well defined. Notes of red and black fruit — such as cherry, blackberry and morello — stand out, wrapped in elegant vegetal nuances and mineral touches, with hints of eucalyptus, tobacco and graphite adding complexity and balsamic freshness.
PalateOn the palate it shows great concentration and tension. Well-integrated acidity gives balance and food versatility. The tannins, firm but polished by 18 months in barrel, give a silky, structured texture.
FinishThe finish is long and persistent, marked by pleasant mineral freshness that extends the tasting and invites another sip.
It's a structured, serious yet harmonious wine, combining ripe fruit with the elegance typical of high-altitude vineyards.
