Description
Dönnhoff Riesling Qualitätswein Trocken 2024 is an outstanding dry white made by the prestigious family estate Weingut Hermann Dönnhoff in Germany's Nahe region. As the producer's entry-level wine (Gutswein), it's the perfect introduction to the house's elegant, focused style.
A fine Riesling with particularly spicy fruit aromas in wonderful harmony with crystalline, pure-blooded fruit acidity.
James Suckling: "Packed with aromas of tangerine and yellow peach, this is a very attractive entry-level dry Riesling. Barely medium-bodied, but so effusive and elegant. Very zesty finish. Drink now or keep.
Falstaff: Rated the wine 91+ points, praising its "floral aroma, lavender, fresh orange peel" and "lovely balance: starts supple, continues juicy, ripe and rich".
Sommelier's view: Named "The Best" dry Riesling in a tasting for the German Süddeutsche Zeitung Magazin, where it scored the maximum 10/10. Sommelier Tobias Klaas praised its "purist, deep, Nahe par excellence" flavour profile.
