Description

Pittacum La Casona 2025 is a very new wine on the market, officially released by the winery in spring 2026. For that reason, it doesn't yet have awards or scores from the major international guides (such as Robert Parker points or Wine Spectator), as their reviews usually come a few months after release.

However, the winery that makes it, Viñedos y Bodegas Pittacum (Terras Gauda Group), is highly prestigious and its wines regularly receive strong accolades.

Pittacum La Casona 2025 was presented as a major strategic bet by the brand to show the potential of Godello in high-altitude vineyards in the D.O. Bierzo. The first official reviews and tasters' notes are expected to appear in specialist guides from the end of the year.

Tasting Note
Bright straw-yellow with delicate greenish glints, this Godello shows all the freshness and youth of the grape. The nose is very clean and expressive, with aromas of fresh white fruit such as green apple and pear, wrapped in delicate citrus notes of lime, hints of white flowers and a subtle touch of aromatic herbs, reflecting the character of the Bierzo terroir. On the palate it has a vibrant, refreshing entry, developing an elegant, fluid and balanced texture, supported by lively acidity that gives great precision and freshness. The finish is persistent, marked by captivating fruit and a light bitterness typical of Godello, adding complexity and extending the tasting.
