Description
The term "Oliveros PX" refers to the sweet, fortified Pedro Ximénez wine made by Bodegas Oliveros in Spain's Condado de Huelva region. PX, also known as Pedro Ximénez, is a white grape used to make intense, complex dessert wines.
Wine characteristics:
Aroma: Velvety and spirity, with notes of chocolate, coffee, spice and balsamic touches.
Palate: Warm, unctuous and sweet, with ‘nuances’ of fireside, liquorice, spice and dried fruit. It has a robust structure and a powerful, elegant finish.
Process: It's made from Pedro Ximénez grapes picked at the end of harvest and laid out to dry in the sun on mats to concentrate their sugar.
Oliveros Pedro Ximénez is ideal as a dessert wine and pairs especially well with cheese.
