Description
Viña Sastre Pago de Santa Cruz 2021 is a prestige red from the D.O. Ribera del Duero, made by the renowned Hermanos Sastre winery from vines over 60 years old in La Horra.
Viña Sastre Pago de Santa Cruz comes exclusively from vines over 60 years old on the estate that gives the wine its name. It is an exclusive wine for discerning palates that pairs perfectly with cured cheeses, charcuterie, meat and roasts. Very long and complex, with ripe, smooth tannins and a long life ahead.
James Suckling:
Nose: Generous layers of berry-fruit aromas.
Palate: Firm, persistent chewy tannins layered over juicy, abundant fruit.
Recommendation: Suckling suggests the wine can be enjoyed now or kept (drink or hold), confirming its excellent cellaring potential.
