Tim Atkin: If you like your Riojas full-bodied, powerful and concentrated – and there’s certainly room for that style when it’s as well-made as this – De Garage is perfect. Dominated by Tempranillo, with a supporting cast of Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuelo, it’s dense, intense and bright, with notes of mocha and dark berries, and with the concentration and acidity to age. 2027-35.

James Suckling: A complex nose with notes of fresh black cherries, blackberries, pepper and a hint of dark earthiness. It is quite juicy and fluid on the palate, with a medium to full body, rounded by polished and slightly dusty tannins that spread evenly across the palate. Very long and extensive finish. Very enjoyable now, but can also be cellared.
