Note of Interest: First estate wine made at Bodegas Baigorri. It comes from a unique vineyard over 65 years old located in San Vicente de la Sonsierra with an area of 4 ha and a production of 20,000 kg. It is unique for its location, surrounded by shrubs and aromatic herbs.

Viticulture and Production: Vineyard planted in 1945 in a system of unique vineyard cups in height and slope, with a north-south orientation and in limestone clay soil. Production of 5,000 kg per ha. Grapes selected and harvested manually in 10 kilo boxes, later a new selection is made in the cellar on vibrating tables and separated by weight. Long intracellular macerations with native yeasts from Baigorri itself. Fermented in 5,000 liter vats and malolactic fermentation carried out in 225 liter wooden barrels.

Aged for 24 months in French oak barrels.

Tasting Leaf: Intense purple color. On the nose, aroma of raisins and grapes, caramelized almonds, dried cherries and banana, notes of chocolate and a subtle note of coconut. Velvety and pleasant on the palate, it pairs perfectly with desserts. Wine full of character that simultaneously combines plum jam, blackberry jam, black cherries and black elderflower. The heat of Tempranillo is felt in all its parts, with pleasant toasted aromas. Very tasty and round in the mouth. It presents a good balance between grape tannins and French oak wood, which provides elegant aging. Long and persistent finish.
