Inviting aromas of black currant, graphite, rosemary and tobacco leaf. Full-bodied with silky tannins. Well defined with transparent black fruits and berries. Mineral and herbaceous tones. Very well constructed and varietal. Sustainable. Better after 2024.
Boekenhoutskloof, one of the wineries responsible for South Africa's spectacular wine development throughout the world, also stands out for its organic viticulture practices. In 2009, the acquisition of 100 hectares in the Swartland region confirmed this line of work with varieties such as Syrah and Garnacha, which are also treated organically so that winemaker Marc Kent can create wines with them that never fail to attract the attention of experts. as well as consumers who are new to the world of wine.
Brands such as The Wolftrap, Porcupine Ridge or the highly known Chocolate Block demonstrate the splendid and constant progress of the house.
This Cabernet Sauvignon from Stellenbosch, South Africa was one of the best CS I've tasted. Balanced, spacious and very well structured. This South African wine is incredibly elegant. It has great aging potential, I imagine what it will be like in another 2 to 3 years.
