The wine is very well concentrated and has very fine aromas, with the fruit commanding the nose and the Douro herbs coming close behind. Very good volume in the mouth but pointing to an elegant profile, it is a vintage of great nobility that can be enjoyed now or stored for another 15 years in the cellar. Make your choice. Long finish. Other good previous vintages: 1994 (tasted in 2007, it has reached its best, don't expect more from it).
