The most famous Irish single malt whiskey, Bushmill's 10 Year Old, is aged partly in American oak barrels, which formerly contained bourbon, and a smaller part, in Spanish oak barrels which formerly contained sherry. It has a golden color and an elegant aroma, very balanced, fine and smooth, with notes of cereals, citrus fruits (lemon) and licorice. Floral and vanilla notes are added. In the mouth it is sweet and slightly creamy, confirming the notes on the nose. Long finish, revealing notes of wood, almonds and honey.
