Carmelo Rodero Reserva is made with the varieties Tinta del País (90%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (10%). The grapes come from old vines over 30 years old that belong to the 80 hectares that the winery spread across Pedrosa de Duero, Boada de Roa, Roa and Mambrilla de Castrejón.
Carmelo Rodero Reserva is made in a traditional way. Both maceration and alcoholic fermentation take place at controlled temperatures.
Aging, in turn, lasts 21 months in French oak barrels. Finally, it remains in the bottle for another 24 months to complete the rounding process.
It is a great wine, very balanced and suggestive, with an intense cherry red color with soft violet notes, which mark its aging with bright tiles and amber edges.
Nose of great subtlety with aromas of ripe fruits very well combined with aging in wood, which takes us to special aromas (vanilla, cinnamon) to the stimulating aroma of coffee or toast.
Very meaty in the mouth, with a long finish and balanced acidity. Harmonious ripe and soft tannins that fill the palate with pleasant sensations.
Alcoholic Degree: 14.5%
