Description

Clos Erasmus is Daphne Glorian's wine from Gratallops and one of the five "Clos" that launched Priorat's renaissance in the late 1980s. It comes from small terraced plots of llicorella, based on Garnacha with some Syrah, and tiny production makes it one of Spain's rarest wines.

In the glass it shows concentrated black fruit, fig, Mediterranean herbs, liquorice and a marked mineral streak from llicorella, Priorat's typical slate. The palate is powerful and deep, with firm tannins, good freshness and a long, deep finish.

Decant an hour ahead and serve at 16–18 °C with grilled red meat, game or aged cheeses. It has the structure to evolve for many years in the cellar.
