The Niederhäuser Hermannshöhle Riesling Spätlese 2023 presents a deep, pure, intense, and yet slightly buttery aroma, with mineral notes prominent rather than fruity. On the palate, it is dense, sweet, and savory, being a compact and concentrated Spätlese, but also quite sweet, with crystalline and saline acidity and a very firm finish. Declared alcohol content: 8.5%. Screw cap. Tasted in October 2024.
