The Wine Advocate:

The 2020 Altagracia Cabernet Sauvignon was tasted as a barrel sample of the finished blend. Deep purple in color, it has a fragrant nose of potpourri and Indian spices over a core of kirsch, warm cassis and plum compote, and a light hint of camphor. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is wonderfully juicy and fragrant, with a captivating elegance and freshness, finishing lingeringly.

Altagracia Cabernet Sauvignon is essentially the expression of the eastern parcels of the Eisele vineyard, complemented by fruit from other vineyards in Napa Valley. This unique Napa Valley red, while well-aged, is easily enjoyed young.

Altagracia, named after Bart Araujo’s grandmother, is a Bordeaux-style blend vinified in the same manner as Eisele Vineyard’s Cabernet Sauvignon.

Araujo Estate Wines, renamed Eisele Vineyard in 2016, is one of California's cult wineries. After passing through several hands, it was in 1969 that Milton and Barbara Eisele gave the estate its name. In 1990, Daphne and Bart Araujo took over and the estate was finally acquired in 2013 by the Pinault family (Château Latour, Château Grillet, Domaine d'Eugénie and Clos de Tart). The first vintage of Eisele Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon (2013) produced under Pinault's ownership received 100 Parker Points for the first time in the estate's history.
