Description
Costa Russi is one of Gaja's three single-vineyard wines in Barbaresco, Piedmont, alongside Sorì Tildìn and Sorì San Lorenzo, and one of Italy's most sought-after Nebbiolos.
Under the Barbaresco DOCG, it comes from a single vineyard on the lower part of the Roncagliette slope. The 2017 shows ripe cherry, rose, liquorice, spice and earthy notes, with firm, fine tannins and a long finish.
Pair with truffle risotto, braised meat and game. Serve at 17–18 °C after decanting.
Store the bottle lying down, away from light and vibration, at a steady 12 to 14 °C. At Vinogrande every bottle is carefully packed so it reaches you in the best condition.
