Description

Domaine Georges Roumier, based in Chambolle-Musigny as the label states, is one of Burgundy's most sought-after producers, and its Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru is one of the house's emblematic wines. It is a Pinot Noir made in very small quantities and fought over by collectors worldwide. This 2011 vintage is a rare bottle.

In the glass it is a luminous ruby, with a nose of cherry, raspberry, rose, forest floor and delicate spice that opens slowly with air. The palate is fine and silky, with lacy tannins, lively acidity and a long, mineral finish.

Serve at 15–17 °C in a wide glass with game birds, duck, wild mushrooms or soft cheeses. It can be opened now with some air, but it has the capacity to evolve for many years in the cellar.
