La Nieta is one of the best wines in the country. It comes from a small 2-hectare farm located in La Rioja Alavesa and was worked with minimal intervention. It is a wine that combines concentration with subtlety and reflects the effort of work adapted to the biorhythms of nature.

The winery shares space with the exceptional El Puntido vineyard, an ancient word that means "landing", similar to the terrace that forms between the Cantabrian Mountains and the depression of the Ebro River.

The area is under the influence of an Atlantic climate with hints of continentality, sheltered from the cold northern winds thanks to the protection of the Cantabrian Mountains, which gives the vineyard, and consequently the wine, a unique mineral character.

The vineyard is located on a 25-hectare south-facing slope and was planted in 1975 with the Tempranillo variety on clay soil with a sandstone subsoil. Very close by is La Nieta, a small plot of 1.75 hectares located on shallow, thin clay soil where the Tempranillo variety is also grown. With poorer soils than those of El Puntido and a completely different microclimate, and after subjecting the vine to low vigor and natural production, a high-quality fruit is obtained from which the wine is made.
