MOB Gauvé Branco 2019 (Great Choices Excellence 2025)

The story of three winemakers from the Douro who decided to work together on a project in the Dão is well-known. They swapped the shale and the scorching summer for the granite sands and the temperate summer climate at the foot of the Serra da Estrela. The acronym MOB comes from the initials of the surnames Moreira, Olazabal and Borges and refers to the joint venture of Jorge Moreira, Francisco Olazabal and Jorge Serodio Borges, winemakers and wine producers for over 25 years.

MOB Gauvé 2019 is a white wine with great personality, the result of the mastery of these three renowned Douro winemakers who decided to explore the Dão terroir. With a blend of 60% Encruzado and 40% Bical, it presents a young and enigmatic aroma, where mineral notes, light smoke, moss and an elegant citrus touch stand out.

In the mouth, freshness and tension dominate the tasting, reaffirming the mineral profile, with subtle vegetal nuances that do not overpower its creaminess. The structure reveals vibrant tannins and firm acidity, guaranteeing excellent potential for evolution in the bottle.
