Description
Domaine Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier in Chambolle-Musigny is one of Burgundy's most respected producers, and its Musigny Grand Cru is considered one of the finest expressions of this legendary vineyard. It is a Pinot Noir of great delicacy, made in very small quantities. This 2014 vintage is a rare collector's bottle.
In the glass it is a luminous ruby, with a nose of cherry, raspberry, rose, forest floor and delicate spice that opens slowly with air. The palate is fine and silky, with lacy tannins, lively acidity and a long, mineral finish.
Serve at 15–17 °C in a wide glass with game birds, duck, wild mushrooms or soft cheeses. It can be opened now with some air, but it has the capacity to evolve for many years in the cellar.
