They say that “time is golden” and, in the case of this wine, the premise couldn’t be more correct. A “complete, salivating and balanced acidity” suggestion — this is the new wine, which promises to conquer the palate of all oenophiles.
According to the oenology team led by João Nicolau de Almeida, winemaker at Quinta do Pessegueiro, the 2019 harvest provided high quality musts, with excellent acidity, resulting in musts with high aging potential”.
Quinta do Pessegueiro chose to give the wine time and, thus, let it refine its qualities. After vinification in a stainless steel tank, it spent 16 months in wood, always in contact with fine lees, carrying out the bâtonnage process, and 16 months in stainless steel. In total, there were 32 months of aging, until it was time for Pessegueiro Vinha da Afurada Reserva Branco 2019 to finally be bottled.
Straw colored wine, aromas of rock pear and some floral notes. In the mouth it reveals a complete, salivating wine with super vibrant acidity. A high-altitude white and very gastronomic.
