The name Mário Sérgio Alves Nuno may not say much to the most incautious and distracted, but he is nothing less than the great mentor behind the great wines of Quinta das Bágeiras. The history of Quinta das Bágeiras can be summarized as the work of 3 generations, however it was only in 1989, and under the leadership of Mário Sérgio, that wines began to be bottled and sold under the name Quinta das Bágeiras.
They started at a good time, as it quickly became a reference in Bairrada wines and in Portugal. In this house everything is done with the greatest respect for tradition, for ancient knowledge, respecting the vineyard, the grapes and the wine.
The result is gratifying, with genuine wines, with enormous character and purity. Although made with ancient procedures, Quinta das Bágeiras wines are not fashionable wines, but are always in fashion.
