Description
Quinta do Piloto Moscatel de Setúbal 10 anos Superior is an outstanding fortified wine made by the prestigious Quinta do Piloto in the Palmela area. It's a blend of different vintages aged in century-old 100-litre chestnut casks, where it rests on a "mother" (old sediment) more than a hundred years old.

The NV Moscatel de Setúbal Superior 10 Anos was bottled in 2019 (helpfully noted on the neck label), with 240 grams of residual sugar and a stopper cork. It's a blend of the 2002, 2008 and 2009 vintages, aged in very old 100-litre Portuguese chestnut casks containing old sediment.
More balanced and at the same time more unctuous than the Roxo, this elegant Moscatel seems almost restrained after the two Roxo versions in this issue. Even so, it keeps all that liveliness typical of Moscatel; it's delicious. For its age, it shows ample concentration and a long finish.
