Description
Alzero is one of Giuseppe Quintarelli's rarest wines, from Valpolicella. It applies the Amarone method to the Cabernet varieties: the grapes are dried for months before fermentation, giving a wine of enormous concentration.
Classified as Veneto IGT, Alzero 2016 shows dried black fruit, dried cherry, cocoa, tobacco, balsamic and herbal notes, with a rich texture, soft tannins and a very long finish.
Pair with game, braised meat and well-aged cheese, or enjoy as a meditation wine. Serve at 16–18 °C.
Store the bottle lying down, away from light and vibration, at a steady 12 to 14 °C. At Vinogrande every bottle is carefully packed so it reaches you in the best condition.
