Description
Giuseppe Quintarelli, in Negrar in Valpolicella Classica, is the most revered Amarone producer, known for artisanal methods and very long ageing. Its bottles are made in small quantities and released only when the house deems them ready.
Amarone is made from grapes such as Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella, dried for months before fermentation. The 2017 shows dried cherry, plum, spice, cocoa and balsamic notes, with great richness and a long, balanced finish.
Pair with braised meat, game and well-aged cheese, or enjoy as a meditation wine. Serve at 16–18 °C.
Store the bottle lying down, away from light and vibration, at a steady 12 to 14 °C. At Vinogrande every bottle is carefully packed so it reaches you in the best condition.
