94 Decanter points and 94 Vinogrande points (Personal rating)

Located at 940 meters above sea level, our La Malata estate crowns the Ribera del Duero, making it the perfect enclave to obtain grapes of exceptional quality. Extreme weather conditions, together with stony and poor soils, give this wine visual power and unique aromas.

This wine comes from our La Malata farm, located at more than 940m, one of the highest in the appellation. The varieties that give life to Ritus are 75% Tempranillo and 25% Merlot, all grown in glasses on stony and poor soils, and harvested by hand. Ritus grapes are always the last to enter the cellar. This ensures optimal maturation, fermenting in 10,000kg tanks without adding yeast. Maceration can last up to twenty days.

Tasting Notes:
We have a cherry red wine, with a high size and medium density. On the nose it is delicate and fresh, whose first impression reminds us of red fruits. Predominant notes of spices such as cinnamon and toasted aging that remind us of cedar, vanilla pods and autumn leaves. In the mouth we appreciate very elegant and well-crafted wood. It is fresh, long, with a very integrated acidity; the tannin begins to polish it and makes it delicious and elegant. It has great aging power.
