Rocca delle Macie Campo Maccione Vermentino
Rocca delle Macie Campo Maccione Vermentino - 2022 is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
Delicate straw color, green tones. Very subtle on the nose with aromas of citrus, kiwi, but also ripe melon. Very appealing, easy set and with pleasant minerality at the end of the tasting.
Rocca delle Macìe is one of the most dynamic Tuscan wineries, which in just over a quarter of a century has managed to establish itself as one of the most important in Italy.
Its foundation was in 1973, when director and filmmaker Italo Zingarelli decided to fulfill his life's dream by acquiring the tenuta Le Macìe, with approximately 85 hectares of which only two were vineyards, thus giving life to this winery in the heart of the Chianti Classico appellation, in Castellina in Chianti. In 1978, the first vintage with the Rocca delle Macìe signature came to the market, Italian and foreign, quickly obtaining a consensus among professionals and the public.
The love and passion for the Tuscan land was passed on from Italo to his children Fabio, Sandra and Sergio. In 1985 Sergio began working alongside his father, taking care of the international distribution network and, alongside his wife Daniela, in 1989, he took over the management of the azienda . Since then, the charismatic Sergio has developed intense work towards quality, placing Rocca delle Macìe in a position of international prestige, with excellent awards from the specialized media.
