Sei Solo 2019 is a ripe red wine with aromas of black fruits, hints of spices and notes of toast and vanilla. On the palate it is long, fine and round. A medium-bodied wine with silky tannins and a pleasant and persistent finish. Red wine Aged in wood. 16 months in used French oak barrels.
Sei Solo is a red wine from the DO Ribera del Duero produced by Javier Zaccagnini. This wine is a single-varietal Tempranillo.
The grapes from which Sei Solo is produced come from four plots of vineyards that are around 60 years old, located in the town of La Horra. These are cultivated using integrated methods, always respecting the natural environment.
The harvest is done manually and in small capacity boxes, so that the grapes do not break and lose their freshness on the way from the field to the winery.
The Sei Solo beans are destemmed and then cold macerated. They are then transferred to wooden tanks with a capacity of around 2,500 liters.
Sei Solo, before being bottled and sold, ages for 18 months in used oak barrels with a capacity of 228 to 600 liters.
Sei Solo is the result of the most personal project of Javier Zaccagini: former president of the Regulatory Council of Ribera del Duero and co-founder of Aalto. The name of the wine is a tribute to one of the winery owner's favorite works: "Sei Solo a Violino senza basso accompagnato" by Johann Sebastian Bach.
