Soalheiro Terramatter is a wine completely different from other wines from the Soalheiro family. It is, on the one hand, a return to our origins and, on the other hand, it is a projection into the future. Produced with minimal intervention in viticulture and winemaking, Terramatter is the genuine expression of our territory. With an intense color, expressive aroma and complex taste, this wine reveals a strong personality and a very distinct profile, to which the early harvest and partial malolactic fermentation in chestnut barrels greatly contribute. We recommend that, before serving the wine, it is gently shaken in the bottle in order to homogenize the fine lees and thus obtain a totally different drinking experience!
The evolution on the fine lees and its strong acidity make Terramatter a bold wine that demands to be accompanied by food. We suggest enjoying this wine with fatty fish, cooked seafood, smoked meat, lamb, turkey or roasted vegetables. It is a wine that goes very well with dishes that include cream or mushroom sauce. Its flavor and texture harmonize beautifully with Asian cuisine.
