Taylors Vintage Porto 2016

Deep purple in colour with a fine magenta rim. Intense aromas of pure wild berries and fresh notes of green apple, plum and raspberry. Surrounding the core of lively fruit is an intoxicating aura of stems and herbs. Deeper down, exotic notes of cedar and jasmine add an extra dimension of complexity. The wine has an attractive elegance and muscularity, with strong, linear tannins that melt seamlessly on the palate and support the wine with great firmness. Very vigorous due to its bold acidity, it presents intense fruit flavours on a very long finish. Although the dominant notes are delicacy and balance, the wine displays the restrained strength and resilience that are the hallmarks of Taylor’s style.
