A very elegant wine with a vigor that reflects the terroir.

Location
This 0.3 hectare plot was planted in 1954 and is located in the upper part of the Charmes-Chambertin terroir known as “Aux Charmes”. Running along the Route des Grands Crus between Morey-Saint-Denis and Gevrey-Chambertin, this plot It is located opposite the border between Latricières Chambertin and Chambertin itself.

Terroir
Its unique geology, composed of Jurassic marl and limestone, results in wines with unique finesse and generosity. It is generally vinified with around 70% whole bunches to promote tension and freshness in the wine.

Winemaking
Harvesting is manual with 60% of whole bunches.
3 week fermentation with very light extraction.

Aging
50% of new oak barrels are used for a 20-month aging period.
