Description
The Laird is Torbreck's top wine, from the Barossa Valley in South Australia. It comes from a single old Shiraz vineyard, Gnadenfrei, at Marananga, and is made in very small quantities.
It is 100% Shiraz, given long ageing in French oak. The 2018 is deep and opulent, with blackberry, plum, chocolate, spice and smoky notes, dense tannins and a very long finish.
Pair with grilled red meat, game and slow-cooked dishes. Serve at 18 °C after decanting.
Store the bottle lying down, away from light and vibration, at a steady 12 to 14 °C. At Vinogrande every bottle is carefully packed so it reaches you in the best condition.
