Description
Redigaffi is Tua Rita's most famous wine, from Suvereto on the Tuscan coast, and one of Italy's great Merlots. It is named after a small stream next to the estate, and the 2000 vintage received 100 points from Robert Parker.
It is 100% Merlot, classified as Toscana IGT and aged in French oak barriques. The 2021 shows ripe black and red fruit, spice, tobacco, cocoa and balsamic notes, with firm tannins, freshness and a long finish.
Pair with red meat, game and aged cheese. Serve at 16–18 °C.
Store the bottle lying down, away from light and vibration, at a steady 12 to 14 °C. At Vinogrande every bottle is carefully packed so it reaches you in the best condition.
