UKAN 2021

The result of a meticulous selection of vineyards that uncovered three ancient Tempranillo vineyards in Laguardia. Each plot is vinified separately to highlight its uniqueness, and then blended into a single elegant and well-structured wine. UKAN is a complex, full-bodied and very pleasant to drink wine, with great ageing potential, displaying exceptional fruit purity and refreshing chalky minerality.

“I look for aging potential,” says Koldo Eguren of this fragrant, well-structured Tempranillo from two parcels in Laguardia, Valderromán and El Estado, planted in 1945 and 1966, respectively. Aged in one third new wood, it’s a focused, layered style with classic aromas of rose petals and violets, chalky intensity, plum and blueberry fruit, and sinewy tannins. 2024-32.
