Description

Arvad Uca Violinista Tinto 2023 is a red wine from the Algarve, made by the renowned Arvad Wine right next to the Ria de Alvor, with consultant winemaker Bernardo Cabral. The wine is named after the Uca tangeri (fiddler crab), typical of the region's salt marsh.

Located in the western Algarve, the 27-hectare UCA vineyards benefit from the freshness of the sea and a privileged proximity to the natural riches of the Ria de Alvor. From the same creators as Arvad, a successful Algarve wine project just a few kilometres away, guided by award-winning winemaker Bernardo Cabral, who knows the region intimately, and drawing on that know-how, come the UCA Violinista wines, which go even further in freshness and Algarve sea air.

The red, from Touriga Nacional, Aragonês and Syrah, shows appealing notes of ripe red fruit, dark chocolate and bergamot. Very pleasant to drink, smooth, with a slightly salty, aromatic profile, it shows the effect of a Mediterranean climate with Atlantic influence, finishing silky and persistent. A great choice with starters and meat dishes.
