Description
Quinta do Cabril Grande Reserva Tinto 2016 is a DOC Douro wine from the Cima Corgo sub-region (Paradela de Guiães).
Quinta do Cabril Grande Reserva Tinto 2016 shows the distinctive character of the Douro Superior through a profile that's both intense and elegant.
ColourIt has a deep, concentrated, almost opaque garnet colour. On the nose it stands out for its complexity, with very ripe black and red fruit such as blackberry and plum, harmonised with nuances of spice, vanilla and subtle toasty notes from barrel ageing.
PalateOn the palate it shows great structure and body, with present but well-polished tannins giving a velvety texture. Balanced acidity adds freshness and extends the experience, ending in a long, persistent finish.
As a Grande Reserva from the 2016 vintage, it's at a stage of excellent expression, though it can continue to evolve favourably in bottle over the coming years.
