Description
Pierre Prieur & Fils Sancerre Blanc 2023 is a dry, elegant white made in the prestigious Sancerre appellation in the Loire Valley, France. Made entirely from Sauvignon Blanc, it reflects the classic expression of the region.
Tasting Note: On the nose it's fresh and expressive, with aromas of white fruit, especially apricot, wrapped in vibrant notes of grapefruit and lemon. On the palate it shows excellent balance between richness and freshness: full-bodied, broad and enveloping. The acidity keeps it lively and persistent, leading to a finish of marked mineral expression with a delicate saline nuance.
Terroir Expression: Its complexity comes from combining Sancerre's three great terroirs: the clay-limestone Terres Blanches give structure and power; the limestone Caillottes add elegance and precision; while Silex brings minerality, tension and ageing capacity.
