Our family's second Barolo "Cru", which came 30 years after the first, the "Ornato" Barolo. Produced in very small quantities from the 2015 harvest. Ripe and pulpy fruit, concentration, complexity, soft tannins, immediate but with great aging capacity.

Monica Larner: The Pio Cesare 2019 Barolo Mosconi (with 6,685 bottles and larger formats on the market) offers the structure and longevity of Nebbiolo from Monforte d’Alba. You also get a hint of saline mineral or rusty iron that wraps around a core of wild berries and blackcurrant. Mosconi always strikes me as very linear and direct, and that particular sharpness is what I like most about this vintage.
