Description
From an old vineyard in the Borba region with schist soils at 420 metres, Mamoré de Borba Grande Reserva 2020 is a red of great distinction, marrying Alicante Bouschet and Trincadeira. The nose shows a sophisticated bouquet, where notes of plum and ripe blackberry intertwine with elegant ‘nuances’ of cigar box and balsamic hints.
PalateOn the palate it has a solid structure, with polished tannins giving a silky, balanced texture. Surprising freshness brings liveliness, while the finish is rich and deep, with subtle notes of chestnut and spice. With time in the glass the wine opens up, gaining even more complexity and presence.
An excellent partner for game and oven roasts, showing the nobility and longevity of the Alentejo's great wines.
