Description

Oban is one of the smallest and oldest distilleries in Scotland, founded in 1794 in the harbour town of the same name on the west Highland coast. Little Bay is inspired by that bay: the whisky passes through small casks, which intensify the contact with the wood and create a sweeter, rounder profile than the classic 14 year old.

Matured in refill casks, European oak and American oak and bottled at 43%, it shows orange, honey, sea salt and spice on the nose. The palate is creamy, with dates, caramel, cinnamon and sea salt. The finish is medium, with sea salt, oak and spice.

Balanced and complex, it works as well for a relaxed evening as for a special dinner. Serve neat or with a drop of water. It pairs with roast meats, mushrooms, nuts and hard cheeses.
