The age on the label is that of the youngest whiskey in the blend: every component spent at least 15 years in cask. Only time in wood counts — once bottled, whiskey does not age.

A 700 ml bottle gives about 17 measures of 4 cl. Once opened, store it upright, tightly closed and away from light and heat: spirits keep well for months but slowly lose aroma once the bottle is half empty.

Description
Glenfarclas 15 Years Old is considered by many to be the high point of the family-owned Speyside distillery range. Aged in sherry casks and bottled at 46%, it gains intensity and texture over the younger versions while keeping the traditional house style.
The nose has sherry, orange, raisins and sweet spice. The palate is rich and full, with dried fruit, caramel, ginger and a light wood smoke. The finish is long and warm, with sherry and spice.
A classic sherried single malt at a very fair price. Serve neat or with a drop of water. It pairs with fruit cake, creamy sheep cheese, caramelised nuts or an espresso after dinner.
