Description

Glengoyne sits right on the Highland-Lowland line north of Glasgow: it distils in the Highlands and ages its whisky across the road. It is known for the slowest distillation in Scotland and for drying its barley with warm air only, with no peat smoke at all. The 10 Year Old is smooth, fruity and very clean.

Matured for 10 years in sherry casks and refill casks and bottled at 40%, it shows green apple, toffee, almond and honey on the nose. The palate is silky, with green apple, toffee, cinnamon and malted cereal. The finish is medium, with almond, spice and oak.

An easy, versatile whisky to enjoy neat, on ice or in a refreshing highball. It pairs with grilled fish, seafood, salads and fresh cheeses, and is an excellent choice for anyone discovering the category.
