Description
In 1730, Henry Burmester and John Nash founded Burmester & Nash in London, trading in cereals. Later, in 1750, now in Vila Nova de Gaia, they began exporting Port to Europe and the British Isles. Generation after generation, they stood out for the rigour and knowledge they devoted to Port, raising the Burmester name to the highest level of quality and international recognition.
Burmester can be considered a Colheita specialist, with the magnificent Colheitas at its disposal that it releases regularly. Even so, its Vintage Ports are of excellent quality, showing their splendour in great vintage years.
At the end of the millennium, Burmester was acquired by the Sogevinus Group, which continues to perpetuate brands created centuries ago.
