Description

Château Langoa Barton 2018 is a red from Saint-Julien, Bordeaux, classified Troisième Cru (Third Growth) in the 1855 Classification. It's widely praised for its classic structure, balanced freshness and great ageing potential.

Asked about the 2018 vintage, Damien Sartorius, the château's general manager, sums it up in one word: intense. From budburst to harvest, 2018 was unpredictable but, in his words, the dedication of the vineyard teams, out in the rows as the weather dictated, made a healthy, high-quality harvest possible.

Château Langoa Barton 2018 is a blend of 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot and 9% Cabernet Franc, aged in 60% new barrels.

This Saint-Julien red is powerful without being sun-baked like a 2003. Marked by the balance and finesse of its tannins, Langoa Barton 2018 develops intense fruity flavours lifted by very pleasant freshness. Precise and gourmand, the estate even compares it to a 2010. A great vintage.
