H.M. Borges Sercial 10 Anos Madeira

H.M. Borges Sercial 10 Anos is a fortified Madeira with the dry style and vibrant acidity typical of Sercial. Made from vines on volcanic soils, it ages in oak casks using the traditional "canteiro" system.

Profile and Tasting Notes

Colour: Pale amber or topaz, with golden glints.

Nose: Striking notes of oak, dried fruit (especially almonds), iodine, candied orange peel and toast.

Palate: Well structured and fresh, with flavours of citrus, dried fruit and touches of beeswax, balanced acidity and a long finish. 

Pairing and Serving

This wine is considered the aperitif par excellence.

Suggestions: Goes well with olives, toasted nuts, smoked salmon, sushi and fresh goat's or sheep's cheese.

Temperature: Serve at 15–16ºC; no need to decant.

Keeping: Once opened, it keeps in good condition for several months if stored upright
