Description
This Pierre Gimonnet & fils Cuis 1er Cru Blanc de Blancs is blended from wines of four different vintages and has unique typicity and freshness: a lively, light and airy Champagne... Made from 100% Chardonnay from 14 hectares in the village of Cuis, classified Premier Cru. Very short ageing on the lees (20 months) to keep its characteristic freshness. The Gimonnet family began growing vines and making wine in Cuis in 1750, but its style was defined from 1955, when Michel Gimonnet began making Blanc de Blancs. Experts describe the style as a nervy, mineral and fresh Champagne. The house makes Champagne only from its own vineyards in the Côte des Blancs, from Premier Cru 'Cuis' and Grand Cru Cramant and Chouilly.
