Quinta do Regueiro has been cementing its qualitative and distinct footprint in the Vinhos Verdes region, it is the producer that I have followed most closely, a regular customer of its alvarinhos, Barricas and Primitivo, I would like to be more Jurassic, one of the great Portuguese white wines.

A new product recently appeared from the producer, a rosé in time to be launched during the summer season, Quinta do Regueiro Rosé 2020 . But anyone who thinks that associating this wine with Summer comes with a negative connotation is mistaken, we are in the presence of a serious wine, with the backbone of a good white wine. Light salmon in color, there is a slight gas at the beginning in the glass and bottle, which is not bothersome, a needle that quickly disappears with oxygenation. As expected in a rosé, the nose reveals hints of fresh red fruit, but not too pronounced, just enough, some citrus freshness in the background. In the mouth it has a lot of strength, especially supported by the good acidity, mineral sensation and which sometimes leads me to think of a white wine, with good volume and presence, with a dry and salivating finish.

A novelty that pleased me, which aims to make an appealing rosé for those who enjoy good wine at the table with gastronomy from the summer season, rather than a sangria for refreshment. The wine is a blend of typical grape varieties from the region, red but also white, Vinhão, Alvarelhão, Alvarinho and Trajadura.

Aroma
It presents great complexity, where the red fruit style stands out.

Palate
Very full-bodied wine, with volume in the mouth and lots of freshness.
