The toasty 2018 Textures de Pedra aims to express Mediterranean grapes in the Penedès climate, a blanc de noirs of 50% Xarel·lo Vermell, 25% Sumoll and 25% Bastard Negre (the local strain of Graciano adapted to the terroir, already identified in the 1920s): a powerful, energetic wine with lightness and electricity, moderate alcohol and excellent acidity.
The wine is velvety and dry, with zero sugar and a stony feel on the palate. It aged in bottle on the lees (sur lie) for no less than 42 months. 10,500 bottles and 717 magnums were produced. It should develop very well in bottle.
