The 2022 Lynch-Bages is one of the most muscular and robust wines of the vintage in the Médoc, offering aromas of dark berries, cherry compote, pencil shavings and creamy new oak, followed by a full-bodied, rich, fairly extracted, dense and compact palate. While Lynch-Bages always seems to gain harmony with time, the 2022 will certainly demand some patience.

James Suckling gave 96/100 to Château Lynch-Bages 2021, which shows an elegant, expressive aromatic profile marked by blackcurrant and blueberry, wrapped in mineral nuances of graphite and crushed stone that give depth and complexity.
On the palate it has a structure balanced between power and refinement. The medium to full body is supported by extremely fine, polished tannins, giving a silky texture and precision throughout.
Vibrant freshness stands out from the first moment, leading to a long, pure, persistent finish enriched by delicate notes of spice and blue fruit. According to James Suckling, it's a "very polished and sophisticated" wine, an expression of the precision and technical rigour the estate has achieved.
James Suckling gave 98/100 to Château Lynch-Bages 2023, highlighting it as a full-bodied wine with chewy tannins and a strong mineral profile of graphite and crushed stone. The vintage is described as opulent and vertical, dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, with excellent ageing potential.
