Iron of Ferradosa Douro Red 2021

Ferro da Ferradosa Douro Red is an elegant and fresh wine, with aromas of very pure fruit and a long and very fresh finish. Excellent balance and acidity, intense and velvety, a red of great elegance.

Ferro da Ferradosa Douro Tinto shows the unique and distinctive character of the farm, where we found vineyards that we feel express the Douro we know.
The grapes come from a vineyard planted in 1998 where only Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz were planted. For the production of Ferro da Ferradosa in 2019, a blend of 40% Touriga Franca, 50% Touriga Nacional and 10% Tinta Roriz was chosen. All the wine was fermented in the Quinta da Ferradosa winery. All the grapes were foot-trodden in traditional wine presses before fermentation in stainless steel vats (5,000 kg).
The wine was aged in used French oak barrels for 12 months before bottling.
