The 2021 Quinta de Saes Estágio Prolongado is a blend of 70% old vines in a field blend (a traditional mix of grapes) and 10% each of Touriga Nacional, Jaen and Alfrocheiro. It fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged in used 400-litre barrels for 18 months.

A very good wine, with definition and purity, floral and aromatic, attractive, clean and expressive. It has 13.3% alcohol, a balanced palate with fine tannins and a completely dry finish. It was bottled in November 2024.
